Food was phenomenal. Quite possibly the best crab cakes I've ever had!

Save room and try the tres leches cake. It's one of the best I've ever had.

Excellent food, and great service. Bar and restaurant areas are clean with a nice feel.

Small quiet place to eat, food was great, and so was service however the building needs a bit more upkeep, it just felt outdated and felt me out of position. The layout and the way the tables looked just didn't support the quality of food and the friendly staff.

Very Good! Their approach is simple resulting in a quality dining/wining experience Michigan City desperately needs! Great value and not overpriced.....

No refills,to help choke down the grease filled fish. Order sent back twice...not what we ordered. One cube of ice per glass???? Ice shortage...helps to have ice if you have to eat it because of thirst. And at end of meal......oh I'm sorry....would you still like your appetizer.... ahhhhh,no thanks. First and last visit.

They compromised nothing. Real food! Perfectly seasoned chicken! A lot of choices that reminded us of the quality foods we ate when we were young. Real mashed potatoes! Tiramasu made the way it should be! They have an excellent Sunday buffet for a very reasonable price. We thought it would cost so much more, but were surprised with the check. Unbelievable find!

Atmosphere was great everything was clean the food was great portions done too everybody's liking and the service was outstanding will be a return customer I went there for my birthday dinner and I must say I was not disappointed.

Been here twice now and both times it was outstanding. Got the stuffed pork chop and escargot the first time, and the shrimp fra diavlo for the second. Very reasonable prices, great atmosphere.

Great, friendly staff. Food was excellent. Very tasty and reasonable prices. My husband had the Orange rough almondine special which he said was cooked perfectly. I had the basil pesto spaghetti. It was perfectly flavored and not too heavy on the pesto with perfect veggies, not over cooked. Decent wine selection, also reasonably priced. The blueberry bread pudding for dessert was a huge portion and was absolutely delicious. We have found our new dinner out spot.

Bella Bistro use to be a very nice and romantic restaurant with amazing food. Now it seems that someone else runs it and it’s just nothing close to what it was. Food was generic and not very good. I won’t be going back for a nice dinner there again.

GREAT LUNCH AND SERVICE WAS GOOD!

My mom and I are in town visiting my grandmother. I read the article about Bella Bistro in the News Dispatch this morning. We were wanting a light dinner and soup hit the spot. My mom and grandma had the minestrone, the rolls were piping hot. I had the Whitefish. It was light, flaky and delicious! Best wishes for this new restaurant!

We had our company end of the year appreciation dinner here tonight. The food , service and atmosphere was excellent. A new favorite in my book.

Went there for Sunday brunch and was not impressed. There was only the buffet and most everything was cold. Will say the salad was fresh but I was wanting breakfast. The waiter we had couldn't keep our glasses full, not sure if there was better people on staff or not.

The food and service was great! Nice decor with fireplaces. We had the dinner special, fresh crusty bread, fresh cod, veggies, clam chowder (!) and blueberry bread pudding with ice cream.

I had the half chicken. It was delicious! The balsamic dressing I had on the salad was perfect. Even the iced tea was good!

Ate here once and it was good food.

Holy Cow talk about a hidden gem. Bella Bistro for lunch today and it was so far beyond my expectations. My boyfriend got the Wrap of the Day: Cajun salmon wrap. I got the chicken parm sandwich. We split a crab cake appetizer, which we ate too fast for me to get a photo haha. We will be back very soon!

Good food and service,also quiet ,good for conversation.

Had dinner there with family. I had Lake Superior white fish with little red potatoes and carrots and zucchini. Delicious! My side salad was fresh and crisp. The others in my party loved their choices as well. One had chicken frontiere, the other the spicy shrimp and pasta. Reasonably priced, nice atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but they were busy. Highly recommend Bella Bistro for a good dining experience away from noisy chains and fast food. Much needed in Michigan City.

this place has awesome food choices and a very pleasing atmosphere. the servers are all friendly and helpful. would suggest this place to anyone looking for a great meal and a great time!

I couldn't review the food. It may be good but the staff wouldn't seat my family. I came in with my wife and kids and although I did see wait staff, nobody came to seat us. Horrible.

I also had the chicken frontiere. While it WAS amazing, the best thing was the baked brie with fried apples and red onion jam! Yum!!!

A great treasure tucked away in Michigan City. It offers a variety of food and drink that should be able to satisfy anyone in a group
